Scatec teams up with local communities in São Paulo to restore forests

Our Scatec Brazil team took part in a volunteering initiative in São Paulo, organised in partnership with Impact Coalition, Mincon, Reservas Votorantim, and the City of São Paulo.

Together, participants planted one hectare of agroforestry, including more than 2,500 native species selected in collaboration with representatives of the Guarani community of Pico do Jaraguá.

The Guarani community will maintain and benefit from the agroforestry area, using it for food production and income generation. The initiative demonstrates how cooperation between companies, local communities, and public institutions can support ecosystem restoration and shared development goals.

Scatec thanks the community and the organisers, as well as all team members who contributed their time and effort to this project, reinforcing the Scatec’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
