Ukraine
In collaboration with NGO “Ecoclub”, Scatec built an 8kW solar power station with a battery capacity of 20kW for the town fire department.
The challenge
Due to constant shelling of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and prolonged blackouts, the fire department was at risk of failure. The installation of a PV plant with batteries ensures energy independence and uninterrupted operation of critical equipment: communications, warning systems, and emergency response measures. This creates conditions for the full performance of tasks by personnel regardless of the state of the centralized power grid.
How we worked together
Scatec reviewed the technical documentation, agreed on design solutions, concluded contracts, and organized installation and commissioning works. The fire department repaired and prepared the roof as their contribution to the project. Scatec ensured the installation of an 8 kW PV station with 20 kW battery capacity, with the total project cost amounting to 20,000 EUR.

Scatec’s contribution directly affects the level of public safety, because the reliability of the fire and rescue service determines the speed of response to calls and, ultimately, people’s lives. The company’s support is not just assistance – it is a real contribution to the stability of our community and the state as a whole. Scatec not only enabled us to save energy resources but also helped us remain combat-ready and prepared to act in any circumstances.
